Ngati Pahauwera Draft Agreement in Principle Consultation Hui 23-25 September 2008

Since April 2008 Ngati Pahauwera have been negotiating intensively with the crown to settle the historical Treaty of Waitangi and Foreshore and Seabed claims of Ngati Pahauwera.

The negotiators and Trustees of the Ngati Pahauwera Development and Tiaki Trusts wish to present the Draft Agreement in Principle at a series of Consultation Hui with Ngati Pahauwera as follows:

23 September 2008, 9am at the Te Taiwhenua O Heretaunga, 821 Orchard Road, Hastings

23 September 2008, 1pm at the Waipapa-A-Iwi Mohaka Marae, Mohaka

23 September 2008, 5pm at the Pirates Rugby Football Club, 15 Anzac Street, Gisborne

24 September 2008, 9am at the Koraunui Marae, 146 Stokes Valley Road, Stokes Valley, Wellington

24 September 2008 2pm at St Michael’s Hall, Highbury, Palmerston North

24 September 2008 7pm at the Waipahihi Marae, 5 Hinerau Grove, Taupo

25 September 2008, 11am at the Nga Hau E Wha Marae, 250 Pages Road, Christchurch

25 September 2008, 4pm at the Kirikiriroa Marae, 180 Dey Street, Hamilton

25 September 2008, 7pm at the Mataura RSA Clubrooms, River Street, Mataura

25 September 2008 7:30pm at the Airport Gateway Hotel, 206 Kirkbridge Road, Mangere, Auckland

Following consultation, a finalised Agreement in Principle will be presented at Mohaka on 27 September 2008 at 10am for approval.

The Agreement in Principle will be signed on 30 September 2008 in Wellington at Parliament, seating will be at 12.45 and the ceremony at 1.30pm.
