Kupu whakaatu o Mohaka kura | Mohaka School Notices

Mission Statement

To be happy, safe, respectful, risk-takers knowing who they are and where they come from.

This is happening on Sunday 14th May at Waiotia Station (at the end of the Mohaka Coast Road).  There is a 5km, 10km or 21km run/walk option.  There is an obstacle course for the littlies, food & coffee for purchase – this is a great day out for everyone.  Now is a good time to start training!  You can enter at the Wairoa Community Centre or online www.sporty.co.nz/megamohaka.  If you are not entering we would love you to come along and help – thanks to those who have already offered.  We need helpers on the Saturday to set up, and on Sunday we need marshalls, and food helpers etc.  All money raised goes towards a senior playground for Mohaka School, which we are on track to get this year – yay!!!!

Thank you to Aaliyah Maxwell and Nan Gladys for the apples and to Mrs Eriha for the feijoas.  Our tamariki are enjoying the abundance of fruit we currently have.

Congratulations to Harriet & Fergus Morunga, Zoe & Quentin Clark, Kefir Kirwan, Lara McDonald, Elissa Ranapia, Hinewai Joe and Krucial King-Huata for representing us at the Wairoa District Swimming Sports last Wednesday.  Our tamariki sawn extremely well.  Thank you to Mrs Hawkins, Ada Clark, Carol Huata, Becs Morunga, Michelle Thompson and Bruce McDonald for supporting on the day and providing transport.
