Kai aku Pāhauwera,
My name is Zeb Tamihana Nicklin and I am a 2nd Year Master’s student at Te Wānanga o Raukawa who will be graduating at the end of this year. Presently I am working on a small research project relating to the survival of our Māori language.
I would like to invite you to participate in my research by answering a survey for me about your knowledge of Te Reo Māori. In doing so, this will assist me to put a Māori language survival plan together for our hapū. If you respond to this questionnaire, it will indicate to me your support for this research project.
Although one might think that our language is safe from extinction, statistics inform us otherwise, hence the reason for this project.
All names will remain anonymous as per the criteria and information will be discarded at the end of the project. Your gender and age group are more specific for this survey.
I have written the questionnaire in English as not to assume we all have an advanced level of Te Reo Māori.
Again, I would like to thank you for your support and look forward also to having you attend my graduation at the end of the year if possible.
Taku iti nei,
Please feel free to fill in the questionnaire below:
